It's hard to believe, it's the last day! Yesterday the weather changed, it was hot sunny and no wind. We spent the day by the pool baking in the sun. The kids finally got to play in the giant sprinklers making grandpa Wayne happy. Russ and Lyn visited us for a dinner of steak and prawns, vacation life is tough. lol Now we are all packed and ready to fly so we will hit the pool for the last few hrs before our flight. We are spending the night in Seattle tonight and doing our last minute shopping tomorrow before crossing the border and getting back to reality.
We want to thanks Wayne and Val for making this wonderful trip possible, we all had so much fun. To bad it must come to an end. Thanks to all who took the time to follow us on our journey through this blog. We will see you all when we get home.

Yesterday was cool and windy so we stayed out of the pool and played ping pong and shuffle board. Not much to write about.
Today was another windy day but warmer so we went for a swim before lunch and did some geocaching after lunch. We found a cache in the desert called "two feet under ground" it was guarded by 2 rubber severed feet. After caching we went for a float around the lazy river pool with the whole family. Now we are getting ready for dinner.

Today we spent the afternoon with uncle Russ at his place. We had a wonderful lunch of pizza, prawns, fresh vegetables. The kids had a fresh fruit smoothy for desert. We all enjoyed a swim in the pool then the kids went for a walk and picked some lemons from the tree. Nick picked the biggest lemon I have ever seen. It was the size of a small football. Thanks to Russ and Lyn for the good food and good company.
Yesterday I was able to get out and do some caching. It sure is a different game here, the cache pages are simple and not many hints to help. I haven't seen a cache that I would call special, just lots of micros on the sides of the road. There are a few caches in the desert that have warnings about scorpions and rattle snakes but I can't get to them with the car. Tammy was able to find some deals at "Ross Dress For Less" and the kids were fine swimming in the rain. Today looks like a hot and sunny one so I think we will hit the pool and stay in the resort.

Today we are off to Indio CA, close to Palm Springs. Yesterday we spent the whole day in Disneyland and California Adventure riding all of our favorite rides. We started the day on California Screamin' and Michaela tried Star Tours with us and loved it. She now realizes that she should have tried the rides sooner. We managed to find one of the caches in Disneyland and hope to spend some time in Indio caching.

Today Michaela made a breakthrough with the rides. She decided to try the Thunder Mountain coaster and liked it so much that by the end of the day she rode the largest coaster in the park "California Screamin" Tomorrow she wants to ride it again.

Yesterday we started are Disneyland adventure with a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean, Michaela found it a bit scary. She skiped our ride in Indiana Jones Adventure but loved It's a Small World and Peter Pan. Nick loved the Star Tours (Star Wars) Ride and Space Mountain. It was a HOT day with nothing but sun. We watched the Street Party before leaving the park at 7:30pm.

Wow! What a day, great weather and short lines at Knott's. Nick and I rode all but one of the rides. After lining up for the Ghost Rider, the wooden coaster, and waiting 45 min the ride broke and we were turned away. Good thing that was the only long wait of the day. Michaela and Tammy enjoyed "Camp Snoopy" the rides for small kids and moms that don't like rides. After enjoying the park we picked up some souvenirs and a great chicken dinner. Then back to the hotel to find out Canada won the hockey gold. It can't get better than that.

We Are In LA
We have arrived in L.A and are ready to visit Knot's Berry Farm tomorrow. The kid's found the Seattle sky line "awesome". We spent the evening in Seattle swimming in the pool and watching the Olympic hockey game. The weather in California is cool and wet, but there is a chance of sun for tomorrow. I hope to up load some pictures tomorrow but the internet connection is slow in this hotel.
